I (Ailsa Tomany) am a Photographer based in Millport, on the Isle of Cumbrae , which is on the West Coast of Scotland. 

I have had a keen interest in photography for many years, and have been taking photographs for around 20 years.  I have taken a very keen interest in digital photography.

I tend to favour Canon cameras, and currently am using a Canon EOS 7D.  For many years, I used the Canon EOS 10D, which served me well, and I still have it today as a backup.

I am a freelance photographer, and I have recently (2010) started taking pictures of Millport events and occasions for the Largs and Millport Weekly News. You will see a picture of mine in the paper most weeks, they don't always have my name in the byline.

If you see a picture on the Millport page thats out of focus, then it won't have been taken by me !! I'd never submit that type of picture for publication !

I also take landscape pictures of Millport and the surrounding scenery. I am very lucky to live in such a beautiful place in the River Clyde.  I am also very fortunate to have a view from my living room, that looks out onto the town of Millport, with Arran in the background. It's a view that I could photograph endlessly and I am always awed with how beautiful it is, and how it changes throughout the seasons.

I am begining to more pro-actively promote my photography work, and hope in the near future to add portrait photography to the services that I can offer.
